Sylvdoanx's Best TV series
Grey's Anatomy
How do you know that you’re addicted to a particular TV series? I guess for me it’s when you consider the Wikipedia page of that series (plus the episodes list per season) as bedtime reading. So what makes Grey’s Anatomy that good? Many. Firstly the intricate drama between the characters (you love him, he loves her, she loves you, oh now she doesn’t. oh yes she does. And so on…). Guess that’s the reason you can’t stop watching. You want to know who screws who and who loves who. And another point.. The music! The music is nice, glorious, and eclectic. The music is usually taken from indie (independent) artists that give nice and varied flavour compared to ordinary pop music. And the last but not least point… The people. Beautiful people, indeed. Who knew doctors can be so hot? I’ll make myself sick to see those doctors everyday. I’m serious.
Desperate Housewives
Every girl wants to be a happy housewife. Right? Right. But is it really possible?
Join the scandalous and juicy lives of seems-so-ordinary housewives in Wisteria Lane. As a housewife they have their own roles and tasks and what-nots. Should they keep it, or surrender to love and passion?
When you hear “housewife” it seems to be too old and boring. But, hell no. These housewives are so entertaining and interesting they can keep you up all night! (happened to me once) Fast-paced and natural conversations laden with witty remarks and sarcastic humour are my favourite. That’s why this glorious TV series stand as my favourite. The different thing from this series is that it doesn’t only supply you with love drama (and passion, for that matter). In each season there is always a dark secret, waiting to be revealed by the end of the season.
I guess at the end of the day, what makes us keep watching this series is that everyone has a dirty laundry to do, and everyone just wants to know what the dirty laundry is.
Gossip Girl
When you can’t have it, watch it. Gossip girl tells a story of a bunch of super-rich kids with super-rich taste. Will you do anything to get what you want, when actually you already have what everybody wants? Watch those pretty people fighting the peer pressure and learning to listen to their hearts.
Of course, what makes this series as my favourite is the pretty pretty people. I’m not going to elaborate. I’m drooling already. Oh, and… The fashion! If you’re out of idea on how to dress for the next date or party, watch gossip girl and follow their style. It’s guaranteed to be très chic!
Heroes
“Heroes” is close to our heart. Meaning, though seems “magical” and “supernatural”, it has a story that is close to our heart. It happens to ordinary people who can be around us. There’s just something in this series that makes you unable to take your eyes off the screen. Maybe it’s the pretty people (Hayden Panettiere is so cute and sexy, no?). Maybe it’s how we relate to the people inside the story. Maybe it’s the admiration of their super ability. Who knows. “Heroes” is a great story. With great actors and great sets and great insert-any-tv-series-component-here.
Prison Break
Clever, mesmerizing, and twisting. Think you’re smart? Examine Michael Scofield, a hottie (yes he’s so hotttttttttt) with a graduate degree of structure engineering (a hottie with a brain.. Me wants…) who plans an extraordinarily elaborate and intricate escape for his only brother from prison. Not without reason, of course. His brother was wrongly accused for a crime he didn’t commit. But there was more to uncover…
It’s obvious why we can’t stop watching this (apart from drooling over the ever-so-hot Michael Scofield and oh-so-macho Lincoln Burrows). The thriller. Will Mike break out? Will they get caught? Who’s helping? Who’s behind the scene? Who did what? All the questions surely make you to wait impatiently for the next episode. And the next. And the next.
